An Assortment of Comics, Sketches and Whatnot
Here is a quick sketch of a few concert-goers from this year’s Watermelon Park Fest. This time I abandoned my usual workflow in order to test out my new Zebra Brush Pen. This pen is made with real zebras (not really).

What kind of a nerd brings his sketchbook to a bluegrass festival? This guy. The following was created at Watermelon Park Fest, whilst bearing witness to a live performance by bluegrass legend Ralph Stanley. This was also my first attempt at using a brush pen (more on brush pens in an upcoming post).

The folks over at JetPens aren’t paying me or otherwise coercing me promote them. I just wanted to give them a shout-out because they have essential tools for illustrators at good prices. I exclusively use their Copic Multiliner SP pens and their brush pens from Zebra, Tombo and Kuretake. Now go to JetPens.com and spend your money.
Inspired by my son, who has a very serious look on his face when nose-deep in his Nintendo DS.

My son has a subscription to National Geographic Kids. I thought I’d venture outside of my comfort zone and try my hand at drawing animals.
